No, that's pretty awful...

I don't know what I was thinking with that crummy setup I had on my last post. No one wants to hear about your day. However, I realize that the most successful blogs are either about politics, photo collections (i.e. classic actresses, sci-fi movie posters, lol cats, etc.) or a specific topic all throughout, like 50 ways to make sandwiches for your kids' school lunch or following someone through their sex change or move to another country.

I have so many different things going on that it's hard to make a choice on a specific subject matter, but I have a few ideas:

-I listen to a lot of great music and really get into it when I play it. Perhaps I will recommend what you SHOULD be listening to and follow up with a video or audio link.

-My roommate's cats. My boyfriend and I have already decided that this just needs to be done on its own. It has to happen.

-Old school topics like tv shows, candy, clothes, fads...and I'm talking crazy stuff people completely forgot about. Do you know how hard it is to find one of those clear green visors with the flashing lights on them? They're finally bringing the clear visors out but with no lights. What am I going to do? I could be the ultimate hipster if I found one.

-Oh yeah. Hipster-bashing or hipster-praising. In the latter case, I could also just make my blog be about my unique fashion sense. I hear those are making the big leagues. And I do have the elitist's dream of a wardrobe. And a lot of my friends are hipsters (who of course always deny that they are. Even though most of them are going mod now, a mindstate I've been in for at least 3-4 years but can never seem to pull off the look because with work I'm bound to my skinny jeans and a crappy hoodie cause I'm so cold and my peacoats are a bit much.)

*Moment to breathe.*

OH! And wordy blogs are boring. So here's a nice photo to cap off the night. Tell me how I'm doing, and subscribe!

I thought...

..I had logged into my old blog, shimmynshake.blogspot.com, aka "The True Adventures of the Image Girl" in which I documented my travels with the local Atlanta music scene. Alas, I was conned into starting a new one. Which is probably for the best. Looking back at my seemingly eloquent and descriptive style, a few years in college and trials and errors made me realize that I can actually do a lot better now. So let's begin the boring first entry so you can get the gist of what I'm sayin'. Na'm sayin'?

I've been wanting to resurrect my writing skills again now that everyone's cashing in on everything I've already said and done years ago. Plus, you never know what crazy idea I'd come up with next.

I have so much to say that there really is no set basis for this blog, but I did decide that a great concept for me is narrowed down to two real ideas: Things that Made Me Happy Today, and Things that Made Me Upset Today. And if at all possible, including a photo that shows my mood or important event.

I think that really settles it all in a nutshell. Let the games begin.

Things that Made Me Happy Today:

Waking up late with nothing to do.
Catching up on homework.
Finding the right size underwear when I went to exchange the wrong one.
Being more productive.
New photos. (See above)
May be going to a free show tonight, Loose Skrews. Terrible friend I am. So long overdue...
Things that Made Me Upset Today:
Exhausting all of my contacts, since on this particular Saturday night all of my friends are tired, even the ones I don't get to see very often.
Not feeling productive enough.
Being too energetic! Never thought I'd hear myself say that.
Well, I may be updating this again tomorrow. I want to be as frequent as possible. Don't let me skip a beat!
